ABOUT
Sturgeon Sanctuary is the UK’s first dedicated breeding and sanctuary facility for sterlet and sturgeon. This pioneering project is the result of more than three decades of hands-on aquaculture experience, beginning in the early 1990s.
Sturgeon sanctuary will focus on breeding sturgeon, bringing renewed energy to the ornamental sturgeon industry, while also managing the relocation of large rehomed sturgeon and sterlet. These fish will either remain in our in-house sanctuary pool or be relocated to suitable private forever ponds.
In addition, the sanctuary will explore the potential of producing ethical caviar, collected during the breeding and spawning process, positioning itself to expand into a high-value market.

Fully licensed to import, export, house, and farm sturgeon and sterlet. This facility will combine research, breeding, and sanctuary care.
